As the body metamorphizes into the different configurations the external world pushes it into, it is left with folds that remind the body of its apparent distress. These folds are often marked as shunned, unwanted attributes whose mere existence remains a threat to the politically defined normal.
This project aims to undo the prejudice surrounding these skinfolds using AI.
A dataset of zoomed-in images of stomach rolls, saggy breasts, dark circles, double chins, and hairy arms is fed into a generative neural network.
The AI computes a continuous distribution of these 'abnormalities' and brings to surface the underlying beauty in their hidden patterns and complex arrangements.
